PARIS
APRIL 29 - May 1
While I wanted to see Paris - who wouldn't?! - I was a little worried about how I'd be treated as an American. However, I liked Paris a lot more than I expected! Martin told us that any time we entered a store or restaurant, we should say "Bonjour!" And when we left, we should say "Merci!" Maybe it's because I'm from the South, but that felt like second nature to me. And in return, most everyone I encountered was quite friendly and very accommodating considering I cannot speak French!

Favorite Moment:
The Eiffel Tower is beautiful - day or night. At night they turn on the lights and you can see it from all over the city. Our tour included a ticket for a cruise along the Seine. On the hour, they turn on the "twinkly lights," which was just when we were cruising by. It was gorgeous and impossible not to love!
